Juniper Berries Perfume Oil

Crisp, green, and sharply aromatic — juniper berry has a bright, gin-like freshness with a resinous, piney backbone and a faint peppery bite. It reads as clean and outdoor-fresh rather than floral or sweet, with a cool, slightly astringent edge that makes it one of the more distinctive fresh notes available. The top is lively and immediate; it softens as it dries down but retains its green, woody character throughout.

Works well in:

• Room sprays and reed diffusers — excellent ambient freshness; one of the stronger-performing fresh notes in diffusion applications
• Soy and paraffin candles — performs better than most citrus-forward notes in wax; good hot throw with reasonable staying power
• Cold process and melt-and-pour soap — clean, sharp scent profile that holds well through the saponification process
• Body and perfume oils — works best as an accent or top note in a layered blend rather than a standalone
