Warm, dry, and resinous — nutmeg opens with a sharp spiced edge that softens into a woody, slightly sweet core. It carries a genuine raw material character: peppery and aromatic up top, with a deeper earthy warmth that develops over time. Not a sweet spice — closer to the dusty, dense character of the whole nut than a culinary extract.

Works well in:

• Soy and paraffin candles — strong hot throw, performs well as a blending spice note
• Body and perfume oils — skin-safe at standard dilution; adds warmth and depth to oriental bases
• Cold process and melt-and-pour soap — stable, minimal acceleration
• Reed diffusers and room sprays — effective at low concentrations
• Wax melts and tart warmers
