Olfactive Description: Woody, Earthy, Rooty, Smokey, Nutty, and Powdery

A sophisticated, earthy scent, Vetiver essential oil comes from Haiti. Steam distilled from the roots of chrysopogon zizanioides, commonly known as vetiver, this variety of bunchgrass is the source of a prominent note in the perfume industry. Vetiver is an excellent standalone essential oil and a strong base note in blends. A sensuous scent, many find it grounding and calming.

Approved for use in atmospheric candles, wax melts, and tarts, we also found that Vetiver has excellent performance in our reed diffuser base. Perfect your product line with bar and liquid soap, scrubs, lotion, and perfume.

Candle Maker’s Notes:
Vetiver (Haitian) essential oil rates two out of three leaves on our soy performance scale. The hot throw performance is a little light to be considered a top performer, but we’ve found that wicking up can help.
